Despite very rainy weather, CPC volunteers showed up in large numbers yesterday for a special Preserve Stewards Day in our Native Plant Nursery! 🌧️
Volunteers were hard at work building a new gravel plant dock and relaying the stone border and gravel around our nursery. 💪

Two upcoming special volunteer projects are happening this June!
Join us for a special Preserve Stewards volunteer day at Indiangrass Preserve on June 16 and 19. Volunteers are welcome anytime between 8:00 AM and 1:00 PM to help with building projects in the native plant nursery. We'll be building a new gravel plant dock along the shade house using pea gravel and limestone edging, and relaying the stone border and gravel around the nursery grow pond, along with planting edge species.
When: Tuesday, June 16th and Friday, June 19th | 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Join us for our next guided bird walk coming up June 26th!
Chris Bailey, Coastal Prairie Conservancy’s Native Seed Nursery Manager, will lead beginner-friendly bird walks at the Indiangrass Preserve on the last Friday of every month. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn the basics of birding and explore the Katy Prairie.
