Chances Dog Rescue and Relocation - Texas Adoptions

As of January 1st, 2026, Chance's Dog Rescue will officially be closed. This was a very difficult decision to make, but it is a necessary one. We have worked so hard the last few years to help as many dogs as we can find their forever homes. There are multiple factors that led us to this decision. It is getting increasingly difficult to find homes and to transport dogs out of state. The entire country has become saturated with homeless and unwanted dogs. Our team worked very tirelessly the last few years to do what we could, and we are so happy and proud to have made a difference in a few dogs' lives. We couldn't have done any of this without the support of our fosters, adopters, and donors. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Rescue will always be important to us, but we will make our mark in different ways moving forward. If you have adopted from us, please leave us a comment or picture. Boo is doing a great job of lounging while healing from his surgery.

Boo made it through his surgery yesterday and now has 6-8 weeks of recovery. He did amazing overnight and was happy to eat his breakfast this morning. We will start some rehab exercises next week to build up the muscle in that leg so he can run with the big kids.

Boo was picked up by Waller County Animal Control a couple weeks ago. We took him and his brother in and found out that Boo has a broken femur!!! We would like to raise some funds for his surgery.

Bat is a 13 week old blue heeler mix who is looking for his forever family. He is crate trained and is super playful and fun!!!

The universe knew I wanted a break from rescuing anything new so it sent me this guy today. His name is supposedly Lloyd and he belonged to a guy named Jose. Jose told me that he gave the dog to his "friend" but the dog keeps digging out. The phone number of said friend goes straight to vm, unsurprisingly. I wish people who straight up tell me that they dumped the dog instead of making up a stupid story. This guy is scared, skinny, and covered in ticks. He's safe with us now. And he will have a much better life from here forward.

Our vet, Dr. Chellgren, will be providing low cost vaccines this Sunday!!

This family picked up a puppy on the side of the road in Waller a little over a month ago. They needed help to get her well after finding out she had been hit by a car and had a fractured back leg. She has been staying with us while recovering from surgery and they finally got to take her home today!! Tokyo, you are one lucky pup to have such a great new family to take care of you!!!

Our sweet momma girl, Tabitha, got adopted up in New York!!! We are so happy she found her forever family.
