Here's a question for every school business manager: what if you didn't have to reconcile a purchasing card statement at the end of every month?
With Veracross Punchout, online purchases post to the general ledger with the correct GL code on the day they happen. The system works through the existing Corpay two-way sync that already powers AP Automation; GL codes are applied based on predefined rules in Corpay and post directly to the Veracross ledger, which means there is no manual entry and no reconciliation step.
That's one less month-end scramble, and one more reason your data is current when leadership asks for it. 📊

Congratulations to Our Lady of Mercy College Parramatta on the launch of their new Digistorm website, complete with Veracross integration. OLMC is a Mercy education community dedicated to empowering young women to lead with courage and act justly in the spirit of Catherine McAuley. When your website and your student information system work together, families get a seamless experience from first inquiry to enrolment; and a school with a mission this clear deserves a digital presence that reflects it.
Welcome to the global Veracross community of schools. 🌏

As you know, your staff are already buying supplies online. But very school's business office faces the same concern: is that spending controlled, or is it invisible?
Most schools we talk to have the same story: teachers and department heads order from personal accounts or shared purchasing cards, and someone in the business office spends hours at month-end trying to match card statements to GL codes.
Veracross Punchout connects your most-used suppliers directly to the Veracross financial system, so every catalog order routes through approval before a package ships. Spend controls apply at the session level, which means policy is enforced at the point of purchase rather than after the fact.
It's compliance built into the workflow, with no new policy memo required. 🙌

The gap between schools that are thriving and schools that are struggling often has nothing to do with budget. It comes down to how connected their systems are.
Chris Lang, recently joined Independent Schools of New Zealand for a conversation on what forward-thinking schools are building towards. The core message: fragmented tools are costing schools more than they realise. Staff chase data across multiple systems, families get inconsistent communication, and leadership misses the signals that matter.
The schools pulling ahead are the ones making deliberate, innovative choices about systems, partners, and strategies that will define their communities for the next decade. They are rethinking how information flows across every department so that educators can focus on the work that matters most: serving students and families. The gap is real; but it is closeable.

What Forward-Thinking Independent Schools Are Building Towards - Veracross This post is drawn from a webinar that Veracross was part of on 27 May, 2026, hosted by Independent Schools of New Zealand (ISNZ). The pressure on school leaders today isn’t new. But the pace at which it’s intensifying certainly is. Budgets are tighter, staffing is stretched, and the administrat...

Your school has more data than ever. Turning it into answers still takes time, resources, and technical help most teams don’t have. Somewhere in that effort, the bigger questions can sometimes go unasked.
Veracross Chief Architect Steve Erickson puts it plainly: “School software can’t be approached like any other industry when it comes to AI. ‘Move fast and break things’ can’t be a guiding principle when you’re responsible for student data, for family trust, and for decisions that affect children’s lives.”
That conviction shaped how we built VC Studio. Rather than rushing to market, we spent more than a year building an AI layer grounded in 20+ years of knowledge about how independent schools structure their data, their workflows, and their reporting needs.
The result is a tool designed exclusively for independent schools, powered by our one-person, one-record database, where a plain-language question can become a finished report, dashboard, or visualization drawn directly from your school’s live data, available in minutes.

Barker College is a 135-year-old school in Sydney with 2,800 students, 18,500 alumni, and a staff community that had reached a breaking point with their previous SIS.
When they changed to Veracross, three key things stood out:
Letting school stakeholders lead the selection pays off. 80+ staff were involved in evaluating, testing, and co-designing the solution. When the time came, the steering committee voted unanimously for the change. When the announcement came, the reaction was "how soon can we make this happen?"
2. The time gained back is real. Confirmed-place enrolment offers went from 5-8 minutes to 30 seconds. Census reporting went from a full week to about 30 minutes. Best of all, teachers describe the new system as a breath of fresh air.
3. The technology started to disappear. Multiple leaders said the same thing, independently: the the system, once implemented, fades into the background so staff can focus on students, families, and connection. After one full term, that's already happening.
Swipe to hear from each of them: the Head of School, Head of ICT, Director of Digital Learning, Head of Curriculum, Director of Enrolments, and Director of Alumni.

When Rob Eastment talks about independent schools, he isn't speaking from the outside looking in. 🎓
Rob holds an MEd in Educational Leadership and has thirty years inside UK independent education, including at Brighton College and the Duke of Kent School. Now, as Head of Marketing for EMEA at Veracross, he has a unique view into how schools across the region are navigating one of the most complex technological moments in history.
That perspective is why his recent keynote at the Boarding Schools' Association Annual Conference for Heads in Stratford-upon-Avon resonated so deeply with the room.
His message: independent schools are not short on data. They are short on clarity.
Modern schools collect more information than ever; attendance, pastoral notes, admissions pipelines, safeguarding records, alumni engagement, medical histories. Yet leaders still find themselves asking simple questions that take hours, sometimes days, to answer. House staff know things the academic office doesn't. Admissions teams hold insights pastoral staff could use. The school exists, but the full picture of it often doesn't.
Rob calls this the "invisible school"; the version of the community that leadership cannot easily see. And he argues that the answer to this challenge is to foster alignment across the community with the help of the right kind of school MIS.
A Connected School, in his view, is defined by people, information, and decisions moving in step. Technology should sit quietly underneath all of it, protecting what independent schools have always done best: relationships.
