The Reading Community Concert Band was founded in 1987 as a summer band, expanding to a year-round concert band in 2003.

Under the direction of Stephen Bloom since 2017, the group performs throughout the local area.

In celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, the Reading Community Concert Band presents American Variations on Sunday, May 10th (Mother’s Day) at 3:00 p.m. in the First Congregational Church, 25 Woburn Street in Reading. Join us for an afternoon of music that explores the influences, traditions and innovators that have shaped the American sound.

Come experience the many variations of who we are!

It's almost time! Join us for our fundraiser at the Mandarin Reading restaurant, 296 Salem Street in Reading, this Friday, April 24th. Remember to print out and bring the flyer to the restaurant, and order anytime during their operating hours (11:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m.). 20% of your food and beverage purchases will benefit the RCCB! The fundraiser applies to all eat-in and phone takeout orders only. We hope to see you there!

Due to the expected high accumulations of snow, Monday night’s RCCB rehearsal will be cancelled. (All other church activities are cancelled tomorrow as well!)

Our regular rehearsals will resume on Monday, March 2nd from 7:30-9:00 p.m. downstairs in the FCC.

Due to the expected high accumulations of snow, Monday night’s RCCB rehearsal will be cancelled. The tech week for my musical production is the following week, so our next rehearsal will be on Monday, February 9th from 7:30-9:00 p.m. downstairs in the FCC.

The RCCB will be making TWO holiday appearances this coming weekend! On Saturday, December 6th at 11:00 a.m., we return to the Festival of Trees at Parker Middle School. We’ll then perform our full annual Holiday Concert at the First Congregational Church on Sunday, December 7th at 3:00 p.m. The program features holiday music composed by Gustav Holst and JaRod Hall along with traditional favorites and some fun surprises. We hope to see you there!
