Communitas truly wouldn’t be the community it is without each and every one of you. Thank you for the compassion, kindness, patience, and dedication you bring to the people you support every single day. We are incredibly grateful for all that you do and so thankful to have you as part of the Communitas family.

At ADDP, we are proud to share Maura Healey's proclamation recognizing the extraordinary role that direct support professionals (DSPs) play in making community-based supports available for thousands of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Massachusetts. DSPs build trusting and person-centered relationships and provide essential services that promote independence and self-determination. We thank Governor Healey and Driscoll for recognizing the invaluable contributions of this workforce, and we thank DSPs for the skill and compassion they bring to their work each and every day. Join us in celebrating DSP Recognition Week!

Our popular adult music therapy group in partnership with the Communitas Recreation Program still has a few spots left!

Communitas is an agency in Wakefield that provides programming for people with disabilities. You do not need to be already affiliated with Communitas to participate. We hope you can join in on the amazing sessions!

📢 Family Town Hall: Camera Policies in Group Homes

The Department of Developmental Services (DDS) is developing policies around the use of cameras in common areas of group homes—and your voice matters! 💙

DDS and The Arc of Massachusetts are hosting a virtual Town Hall for families to:
✨ Share your thoughts and feedback
💬 Voice concerns and ask questions
🤝 Hear directly from DDS leadership
🏠 Help shape policies that impact our loved ones and communities
