On January 1, 1863, President Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation, declaring that all enslaved individuals in rebellious states were to be set free. However, slavery persisted in Texas for an additional two years. In the spring of 1865, General Gordon Granger and Federal troops arrived in Galveston, Texas, to announce the liberation of all slaves.

The following year, freed men in Texas organized "Jubilee Day" on June 19th to celebrate their freedom.

Today, Juneteenth is designated as a federal holiday, and DigitalBridge is privileged to uphold the tradition of commemorating this day with fellow citizens across the United States.

🎃👻 Trick or Threat: Protect Yourself This Cybersecurity Month! 👻🎃

October is not only the month of spooky costumes and sweet treats, but it's also Cybersecurity Month! Don't let cyber threats haunt you. Stay safe and secure in the digital realm with these bone-chilling tips. 👀💀

🔒 "Crypt" your passwords like a vampire guards its coffin. Use strong, unique passwords for each online account, and consider using a password manager to keep track of them. Don't let hackers sink their fangs into your personal information!

👀 Beware of "phishing" ghouls! Treat every email, message, or link with suspicion, especially if it asks for sensitive information. Don't let cyber tricksters cast a spell on you. Stay vigilant and double-check the sender's details before clicking or sharing anything.

🧟‍♂️ Keep your devices "exorcised" of evil spirits. Keep your operating systems, apps, and antivirus software up to date. Regular updates often patch vulnerabilities that cyber zombies could exploit. Don't give them a chance to invade your digital afterlife!

🚫👻 Block out malicious spirits with firewalls and security software. These ghostly guardians can help fend off unwanted visitors and keep your data safe from creepy crawlers lurking in the shadows.

👀🧙‍♀️ Watch out for ghost networks! Avoid connecting to unsecured Wi-Fi networks, especially in public places. Cyber spirits could be lurking, waiting to sn**ch your sensitive information. Stay on the safe side and connect to trusted networks or use a virtual private network (VPN).

Remember, staying safe online is no "witch"craft! By following these tips, you'll be well-equipped to ward off cyber threats and enjoy a spook-free digital experience.
