Nothing like wet fingers on a frozen day. This utility crew set a new meter for a water main break I was working on. Instead of shutting down the whole block, they performed this repair live. Props to them on a job well done!

There may be some cold moments in the Backflow business, but never a dull moment. I love that some small towns are adopting and enforcing a cross connection programs, but to test an irrigation backflow in the middle of January seems a little counterproductive.
