Congratulations to Sara on defending her Master's thesis! Her research explored nutrient loading and chlorophyll relationships in TX lakes and reservoirs, contributing to the science used to support water quality management. We are excited that Sara is joining the CRASR analytical lab team!
What a difference some rain makes! One of our regular sampling sites that is usually a pretty tall waterfall.
Go ahead and jump! Days like this one are one reason healthy lakes matter.
Flamingo spotted on local lake. You never know what wildlife you'll encounter during a day on the water.
Summertime in Texas means finding a little water and staying cool
A little creek appreciation post.
Recent rains have water flowing at one of our Central Texas monitoring sites. Summer heat is settling in, but for now we're enjoying the sound of moving water.
We get by with a little help from our friends.
Field sampling doesn't always go according to plan, especially when the mud decides it wants to keep your boots. Luckily, teamwork is one piece of equipment we never forget to bring.
This Friday is one of our favorite local waterfalls! If you've been there, you probably recognize it, if you haven't, you need to get out there!

Kids + fishing poles + a school parking lot = Backyard Bass casting practice. Fishy fun with no water required!

Not every field research crew has a trailer airbrushed by legendary Waco artist Von Otto. We’ll admit... some serious scientists were a little skeptical at first 😄 But we think this rolling piece of artwork is beautiful and one of our favorite CRASR possessions. It has logged plenty of miles in support of water research and outreach along the way.
