Our newest release, Railstadt 1882, is a Schwarzbier, brewed in connection to the city of Killeen and our newest Southern Roots Brewing location.

Named for the year Killeen was founded during the expansion of the Gulf, Colorado, and Santa Fe Railway through Central Texas, this beer is a little nod to the history that helped shape the community.

Expect smooth malt character with notes of toasted bread, subtle caramel, and a crisp, clean finish that keeps you coming back for another sip.

After 14 months resting in Balcones Distilling Single Malt and Rye barrels, our upcoming barrel-aged stout is finally nearing release! We cannot wait to share it with y’all. Keep your eyes peeled over the next few weeks for the official release date. 🍻
