Very grateful to have my art in a public space! My art was selected to be placed on a Waco utility box located at the corner of Dallas St. and Waco Dr. I painted it at 1/2 scale size, which was still a very large painting! I painted it on different panels for the different sides of the box and in large part because it was difficult to find a canvas that big.

The painting is approximately 80” x 22” and it is oil on panel. Now I need to figure out how to present it all together as one piece.

I decided to do another bear. I thought it would be “quick” after the first bear I did went rather smoothly and relatively fast. This one challenged me and went through stages where I really didn’t like it. I kept pushing the paint until I was happy with it. Still not perfect but good enough to call it done and consider it a learning experience.

Each photo shows the different looks it can have with the quality and angle of light. I really like how the feeling of it changes throughout the day.
