Authorities in Marion County Florida say a man was arrested after stealing a septic tank from a construction site. Deputies responded to a reported theft at a construction site in Dunnellon. Investigators reviewed surveillance video that showed a man attempting to steal a septic tank.
According to the sheriff’s office, the first attempt happened when the suspect arrived at the site in a 2013 Toyota Corolla. However, his plan failed when a Jeep Cherokee drove into the area, causing him to leave before taking anything. He returned the next day with a rented U-Haul truck. This time, he successfully loaded the septic tank into the vehicle and also took electrical pipe worth about $2,500.
Investigators said he tried to avoid identification by covering the U-Haul’s license plate and identification numbers with tape. Despite that effort, a detective was able to identify him and obtain an arrest warrant.
He now faces several charges, including grand theft, unlawful use of a two-way communication device, and intentionally obscuring a license plate during the commission of a crime.
Everyone has their own version of what they NEED. Apparently the man in our story really NEEDED a septic tank. Odd. According to statistics, it is quite rare for someone to attempt the theft of a - septic tank.
The key take-away is this: What might seem odd to you, may be perfectly normal to someone else. For example, just because you may not like to eat fish, there may be another person who ONLY eats fish. One person may prefer to drive a pickup, while the next prefers to drive a sedan. We all have a difference of opinion about almost every single thing in this - life. And - most of it absolutely does not matter! It’s okay to like different things, go different places, have different opinions, and be different. A person who needed a septic tank might assume this this news item was perfectly normal.
It is okay to be different. However - there is one thing that we all need to not disagree with. There is only one God - The Lord God Almighty. And we all need to worship the one true God if we want to live in Heaven for eternity. And that is the only thing that really matters at all.
So - even if you don’t like the color your neighbor painted their house, you can still agree to serve the same God. You can still pray for one another. You can still share the Truth found in God’s Word. And you can still love your neighbor.
Don’t go around stealing septic tanks, but do try to understand the differences behind the actions of others. And do share the Hope of Salvation with everyone you meet! God is still in the saving business!

Bad judgement/bad fortune story of the week...
Drunk teen breaks into Airbnb - which is currently being rented by police officers.
Hmmm... So many things wrong with this story.
1) Teen shouldn’t have been drunk.
2) Teen shouldn’t be breaking into any building.
3) Who provided teen with alcohol?
4) Why did the teen break into an Airbnb not knowing who was there?
5) What are the chances that the police officers just happened to rent that particular abode on that particular day?
6) ... the list just goes on and on...
Did you ever notice that often when we make a bad decision, we follow that up with another bad decision, and another after that. Because, once the first bad decision is made, it is easier to make the second bad decision.
With that in mind, let’s make a conscious choice to make good, right, and better decisions every day. Let us begin with our first choice every morning to serve God faithfully throughout the day. Then let’s continue by finding time for prayer, Bible study, and even sharing the Good News with someone. We might even decide to be kind, caring, and compassionate to those around us!
Don’t get stuck in the ‘bad decision’ cycle. Let’s make good decisions - every single day. And, one day at a time, we can make our world a better place.

A wandering bear that scared residents of a Japanese city just north of Tokyo was captured on Tuesday after several days of panic during which all schools were closed.
The bear was first spotted on Saturday near a park in a city north of Tokyo with a population of half a million.
City officials have said they received dozens of reports of bear sightings in the following days, including near a library, schools and a community center, causing them to close all city-run schools Monday and Tuesday.
The city issued bear warnings via social media and dispatched a public announcement vehicle, urging residents to take shelter inside buildings and vehicles if they encounter a bear, and to make sure to lock doors and windows and not to put out garbage at night.
City officials used a drone Tuesday to track the animal down after it was spotted earlier in the day at a university campus, causing cancellations of all classes.
On Tuesday afternoon, the bear was found on a private property and shot by a veterinarian with a tranquilizer gun.
Poor bear! Noone wanted him around!
And - sometimes we are just like this wandering bear. Everyone is scared to see you in their vicinity, and they might even lock the doors and pull the shades - just because you are acting like a bear! (Grouchy, bigger than life, with a really loud roar.)
As Christians, our one and only job for the Kingdom of Heaven is to witness - win others to Christ. But - if you act like a grumpy, grouchy bear, you absolutely cannot accomplish your main goal in life!
Don’t be a bear to your family, friends, or co-workers! Who wants to listen to a bear!
Be aware of your attitude and outlook every single day, and you just might begin to make an impact on the world around you!
Be a Christian witness - not a BEAR!
