Pro Trans Racing

Pro Trans Racing just completed Rocky Mountain Race Week! Darren Smith and family took his 1967 coronet with a 500” big block and overdrive transmission. The car had hardly been driven but they set out on a 1100+ mile journey through Colorado. They scaled from 2500 ft to over 10,000 ft elevation. The car was in the NA big block category. They worked and got a PB of 12.34 out in Kearney, NE all while the car weighs nearly 4,000 lbs. it was a great week for the clan and we can’t wait to do it again next year!

Of course the transmission is getting buttoned up by the end of the week 😅 built with mostly blem parts from when we run our parts, but it will do just fine for us. Aluminum direct and forward drum. Lightened sun shell. Full roller bearing. 6 pinion front low gear planetary. All made in house. If anyone wants us to bring extra parts for the “just in case” scenarios we are available. Our shop is about an hour south of Ennis.

PARTS/ FRESHEN UP reminder - we will not be racing in Dallas however we will be around. Any parts needed, freshen up drop offs, or help just give us a call!

We all know how badass it is to be able to run Drag Week. Chris completed the 1200 mile journey in his 8 second 68 Dart small block twin turbo car. He is equipped with a Pro Trans SB 727 consisting of in house made billet shafts, aluminum drums, planetary system, as well as our own trans brake with converter dump system. He had a wild few days on the road but came out on top as the fastest mopar for the week. Way to go Chris and thanks for taking us along for the ride. Next year we rolling together!
