Baylor Political Science’s Dr. Serhiy Kudelia received the 2026 Book Prize from the American Association for Ukrainian Studies (AAUS) for his book Seize the City, Undo the State: The Inception of Russia’s War on Ukraine. Congratulations, Dr. Kudelia!

Madi Rae Johnson is graduating with a major in Political Science and minors in Public Relations and Sociology.

Best experience/memory: I will always be thankful for my time holding executive positions in two clubs and getting to meet new people chasing their dreams.

Favorite class/professor: My favorite class in the political science department was American Presidency taught by Dr. Nichols.

Future plans: I will be attending the University of Kentucky College of Law in the fall.

Christopher Clodfelter is graduating with a major in Political Science and a minor in History.

Best experience/memory: One lasting memory I have at Baylor is my time working with the Football Equipment Staff and the joys they brought to my life.

Favorite class/professor: My favorite professor at Baylor is Dr. Richard Jordan.

Future plans: I plan on continuing my education by going to Law School and getting my JD.

Berkley Ponce is graduating with a major in Political Science and a minor in Sociology.

Best experience/memory: My most cherished memories involve the time I spent with my mentors and peers in the poli sci department, McNair Scholars Program, and Hispanic Student Association.

Favorite class/professor: My favorite classes/professors were Research Writing: PSC Methods with (Mr.) Dr. Flavin and Politics, Games, and Strategy with Dr. Bridge.

Future plans: I will start working on my PhD in Political Communication at UCLA this fall!

Brando Guerra is graduating with a major in Political Science and a minor in Legal Reasoning & Analysis.

Best experience/memory: Late night study sessions with my friends during finals

Favorite class/professor: Government and Politics of Latin America with Dr. Hinojosa

Future plans: Attending Law school in Fall 2026

Gabriella Hall is graduating with majors in Economics and Political Science and a minor in Spanish.

Best experience/memory: My favorite experience at Baylor was getting to be a part of the moot court team and competing at Georgetown in DC last fall!

Favorite class/professor: American Constitutional Law and Public Policy and the Courts with Dr. Block!

Future plans: I plan to work at a law firm in Houston over the summer and then apply to law school in the fall!

Katherine Barber is graduating with a major in Political Science and a minor in Criminal Justice.

Best experience/memory: I would say getting baptized this past December! My time at Baylor has truly been marked by the Lord and I would not be here without his grace and guidance.

Favorite class/professor: Con Law with Dr. Rebecca Flavin

Future plans: Law School at UMASS!!!!
