Nearly 20 years ago, Wine Lover’s Chocolate was born from the idea of finding the perfect complement to fine wine. Their in-house sommelier Olivia Lizotte of Brix22 reviews all of their pairings to ensure that each chocolate they offer is the very best match for that varietal of wine.

Garnacha (otherwise known as Grenache) is well known as an important grape in the Southern Rhône Valley. It’s original home is Spain, but has had much success in Texas in recent years! 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐲 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐕𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐲𝐚𝐫𝐝’𝐬 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟎 𝐆𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐚 is a beautiful medium ruby with a nose of strawberry, plumb, raspberry and just a hint of barrel influence. The tannin is very fine, but offering balanced structure to the fruit flavors & alcohol (13%). This wine is so fresh and lively that it makes for a perfect summer red! Come by grab a bottle for dinner tonight!

Valley Mills Vineyards 2021 “Zephyr” is a lovely, light blend of Cinsaut, Mourvèdre, Counoise, Petite Sirah, & Grenache. If you are looking for a summer red from right here in Texas, you have found it! The nose is red raspberry, tart red cherry, tea leaves and spice. This wine was aged in neutral oak for a fruit driven, fresh take on the Texas red blend. Tannin structure on this wine is well integrated and light. Perfect for a dinner or with food. Visit us at The Boiler Room in Downtown Waco and try it out!
