This year the fairboard will be giving each of the 4-H and FFA participants a 2026 Wabasha County Fair Shirt. If you would like to have one for yourself here is your chance! The online store will close Friday June 19th.

Thirteen-year-old Dustin Sylvester is so passionate about farming that he has inspired his parents, Mike and Amber Sylvester, along with his sister, Addie, to start dairy farming on the side so he can experience production agriculture. Each day, the middle schooler sets his own alarm and is out in the barn milking cows and doing chores.

Building a barn may look a little different today than it did 100 years ago, but the dedication behind Minnesota’s family farms remains the same. 🌾

The Minnesota State Fair and Minnesota Farm Bureau Federation are proud to have recognized more than 11,000 family farms that have contributed to Minnesota agriculture for 100 years or more.

Applications for the 2026 Century Farm Program are due in one month. Families who have owned their farm for 100+ years are invited to apply.
