We love taking part in the annual Rubber Duck Race at Kaweah Health! Even though we didn't win this year, we did come in second in our heat. But more importantly, we had fun creating this great big hot dog - it looked good enough to eat (almost 😄).

Thanks to everyone who helped us get here!
We’ve reached $2 million! 🎉
The incredible generosity of our community has helped the Kaweah Health Foundation’s Tiny Feet, Big Steps campaign reach $2 million toward our $3 million goal.
Every donation is helping transform care by supporting the renovation of our Pediatric Unit and the expansion of our Surgical Recovery Unit. These improvements will create more comfortable, healing spaces for children, families, and patients recovering from short-stay surgeries.
We are grateful to everyone who has contributed and helped move this project forward. Your support is helping create a better healthcare experience for patients and families for years to come.
To learn more or make a donation, contact the Kaweah Health Foundation at (559) 624-2359 or visit KaweahHealth.org/BigSteps.

Last Thursday Kaweah Health held a groundbreaking ceremony for the upcoming addition to the Mental Health Hospital. This project will add a wing for children and adolescents, much needed here so kids don't have to go hours away for treatment and care. The project is funded by a grant the Foundation applied for back in 2022. Seeing the project move along has been quite rewarding!

Last night the Kaweah Health Hospice Foundation held a Death Over Dinner event for 53 attendees. With help from facilitators at each table, they discussed topics relating to death, including medical intervention, legacy, funerals, and more. If you'd like to attend such an event, stay tuned, we will be doing a larger version this fall.

We had fun at today's Kaweah Health Employee BBQ today, handing out shirts to our fantastic employee donors and snacks for all who stopped by! We so appreciate that more than half of Kaweah employees donate to our funds, primarily our current Tiny Feet, Big Steps campaign.
The Run to Remember allowed our communty the chance to honor those they've lost with water lanterns covereed with heartfelt memories and drawings. Made all the more beautiful by the raindrops falling around them, the lanterns helped those left behind to process their grief and continue on.

The first Run to Remember last Saturday was an amazing day of memories, love and fun, as our community gathered to walk, run and yes, remember their loved ones who have passed on. A little rain couldn't dampen spirits - the love flowing from families and friends could overcome anything!
Special thanks to the walkers and runners, food and other vendors, Spirit Radio, and our amazing volunteers. We couldn't have done this without you, and we love your spirit of caring.
Funds raised from the event will support Kaweah Health Hospice and all they do for the community. We look forward to doing this again next year, so get your walking shoes broken in soon!
