Big news is coming to Hilltop!

The Virginia Beach SPCA is excited to announce that affordable veterinary care will soon be available inside the PetSmart at Hilltop in Virginia Beach.

Our new location at 501 Hilltop Plaza, Virginia Beach, VA 23454 will make it even easier for pet owners to access essential veterinary services, helping more pets stay healthy and happy. Stay tuned for details on services, opening dates, and how to schedule an appointment.

Meet Gary!

This handsome 3 year old cat is ready to start the next chapter of his life with a family of his own. Gary came to us in need of specialized eye surgery, and now that he has healed, he is enjoying life with a whole new view of the world!

Gary is a friendly, social boy who loves attention from staff, especially when treats or meals are involved. He has quickly become a favorite with his charming personality and sweet nature. Since we do not know much about his past, we recommend slow introductions to any resident pets, and we are still learning how he feels about children.

Gary also has a heart murmur, and our team would be happy to discuss what that means for his future family. He has overcome so much and is more than ready to find a loving home where he can be spoiled the way he deserves.

What an incredible week! We celebrated 46 adoptions last week — 10 dogs and 36 cats found loving homes.

A special shoutout to Treble and Snowball, our bonded pair, who were adopted together last week. We are so happy they get to start their next chapter side by side.

Meet Kai! 🥕 This handsome guinea pig is looking for a loving home where he can continue to receive plenty of attention and affection. Kai is used to being handled daily and enjoys spending time with people, especially when head scratches are involved!

Like most guinea pigs, Kai prefers a calm and quiet environment where he can feel safe and comfortable. He's also a big fan of treats and comes running when he hears a bag crinkle, hoping for some of his favorite snacks like celery, cilantro, or carrots.
