What if George Washington came back to Fredericksburg in 2026?
That was the idea brought to us—and honestly, it gave us a lot to work with. A place where so much history is still intact… but also just different enough to raise a few questions.
This series follows George navigating his hometown like a total fish out of water—recognizing some things, side-eyeing others, and eventually finding his way through it all.
Huge credit to the team that helped bring this to life. This one was a lot of fun.
More from George coming soon.

Had a great time shooting headshots (and a few unplanned moments around the table) with the team at Cadenz this week.
We recently wrapped up a full brand identity system, brand narratives, and website for this new venture bringing together the expertise of Gold Key | PHR and McLeskey—two teams that have helped shape development across Coastal Virginia for decades.
Cadenz was built around a simple idea: experienced leadership, a disciplined process, and helping owners move projects forward with confidence.
The headshots were the final piece of the puzzle. More to come soon.

The kind of cross-disciplinary conversations that rarely happen in one room are all happening in one day at Virginia MOCA. You’ll want to be here for this.💡
Join us for a one-day convening inspired by the exhibition Seamless: Art and Design and the opening of our new home.
This full-day conference-style gathering brings together artists, designers, architects, and creative practitioners for featured conversations, concurrent breakout sessions, and opportunities to connect, exchange ideas, and celebrate local creative work, exploring how creative disciplines can share ideas and solve problems together.

LIL SUMTHIN
Some recent work we liked enough to share.
Inspired by the incredible work of Michael Eastman currently on exhibit at the Fenimore Art Museum in Cooperstown, NY —colors, texture, and those perfectly worn-in Havana details doing all the heavy lifting.
We just followed the lead.

Biennial Kauai family/sprinkle in some actual work trip. Does that make sense? Here’s the partial photo dump. I think I averaged about 300 photos a day. Enjoy.
George Washington… but make it 2026 🇺🇸⚾️
came to us with a great idea—what if George stepped out of Ferry Farm and into present day Fredericksburg? A little time warp, a little fish-out-of-water, and suddenly he’s just trying to make it to a Fred Nats game for opening day.
We took this from concept to final in about three weeks—pre-pro, casting (shoutout to our guy )shoot, and post. Super proud of how this one came together.
This is just a snippet. With VA250 and America 250 coming up, George has a lot more ground to cover this summer.

One of those shoots where everybody was locked in and still cracking up the whole day.
I feel like I say this after every shoot lately, but truly—one of the best ones yet. Great crew, great energy, and the kind of team chemistry where everybody can basically finish each other’s sentences.
Had an absolute blast with and George Washington himself in support of Can’t wait to get into post and show you what we’ve been cooking up. 🇺🇸🎥

Working on the new website for Ola’s Room and honestly—it’s just fun.
When the art, the story, and the space already feel this good, the design kind of builds itself.
The work of , , and Chris Atkinson is simply amazing—and big thanks to Doug and Beatrice for trusting us all the way out here in VA.
More to come soon.

Got a chance yesterday to explore the brand new building—still empty, still pristine, still requiring booties over boots to protect those floors.
Just some time to take it all in and shoot whatever caught my eye. Architectural details, weird reflections, textures, color… that good stuff.
It’s quiet now, but not for long. These walls are about to hold some incredible work—like an upcoming show by and more importantly, bring people together. Artists, families, weirdos, day trippers, kids on field trips, all of it.
Really proud to play even a small role in helping tell the story of a place that’s going to move a lot of people.

Back home in southern Virginia, Sunday dinner was a ritual.
Every week, without fail, we’d gather at my grandparents’ house —“Ree” and “Pop-Pop” — for the good tablecloth, the familiar stories, and a home-cooked meal that somehow always felt like a holiday.
We’d clean up just enough to look respectful.
There was box wine for the grownups (usually pink), lawn darts in the yard, and a whole lot of love at the table. It wasn’t fancy — but it was sacred. If you missed it, you’d better have a damn good excuse.
This wine is inspired by those Sundays.
Not just the flavors, but the feeling: when you gather with the people who matter, pour something good, and share a moment that sticks.
It’s a glow-up from the Franzia, sure. But it’s still about the same thing.
Good soil. Good folks. Something worth sharing.
