We often focus on the prodigal son, but Jesus' most famous story is actually about the older brother. Many in the church today identify more with this older sibling, leading to zealousness that can sometimes manifest as hatred in Jesus' name.
Does God love us as we are, or must we earn it? The gospel reveals God's love is a gift, freely given through Jesus Christ, forgiving past and future sins. This love invites transformation, not obligation.
At its core, Galatians is about grace and the incredible freedom we find in God's love. This is the essential message of the Christian faith: He loves us, accepts us as we are, and desires a relationship with us for eternity. It's all about the gospel.
