Happy National Ombudsman Appreciation Day!!

Today we thank our amazing squadron ombudsman Ebony Williams! In 1970, Admiral Zumwalt, then CNO, created the Navy Family Ombudsman Program to improve communication between the command and the families of sailors in the command. Today’s Navy ombudsman’s mission is twofold: to be a communication link between the commanding officer and the command families as well as be a professionally trained information and referral specialist for the command’s families.
Thank you for the amazing job of ensuring that all our families are kept in the loop and have all the resources available to them! The squadron appreciates your dedication, knowing the best is being provided for our families!! Your work allows us to rest easy and keep the press on to accomplish our mission!!
