Teaching the 15 year old son how to replace packings in a fire pump and add a jockey pump. This pump has needed a jockey pump to keep it from starting in the middle of the night for a long time. It took the fire department threatening fines for false alarms to get the higher ups to finally go for it.

Salt air and black pipe combined with 20 year old dry system and grouting around the base of each pipe, not a good combination

Nothing like pulling an all-nighter climbing around in a steamy school attic to replace rotted out dry system piping! This is why 5 year internal inspections are important. The last pic shows the scale buildup and debris and the pipe is rotted away to almost half the thickness. This should have been caught during an internal inspection.

Industrial Dust collector Pre-Action/dry system installation. Customer installed a CO2 system only to discover that their baghouse was not capable of passing the 20 min dump and hold test required by the fire official. AJAK Fire was able to get the preaction system installed within a very tight timeline in order to keep the fire official from shutting down the clients production lines.

Whats wrong with this picture? Sprinkler head is not only too far down from the ceiling but its installed upside down so it sprays water up. And this is in a school boiler room. AJAK Fire Protection fixed it even though it has been this way for probably 40 years!

Long day changing out some OLD valves that were no longer shutting. After removal, you can see why they wouldnt seal shut. A 4" valve isnt 4" inside anymore! This is why NFPA requires you to internally inspect your fire system every 5 years!
