Father’s Day is creeping in this Sunday and shortly after midnight makes it 16 years since X left us! I hear his words in my mind everyday, get the sent of his cologne when I’m in the garage by myself late at night thrashing on the car, then see his face in the mirror every morning. He’s always there.
Then to learn my “uncle” Tom Francis has passed this week really punched me right in the chest. From cornfield go carts on 538, to slot cars at Denny’s in Millville, to streaming every week to watch me run when I returned, Uncle Tom always cheered me on! He will never realize how much he truly meant to me and heartbroken of the news he left us this week!
I’ll be racing with a heavy heart this weekend, but if this isn’t the proper motivation to make my own luck I don’t know what is! Let’s go! #17

Race Recap
Heat P5 ➡️ P3
Feature P7 👎 P14
A few bright spots in the night but our bad luck streak continues! Then my close encounter with Bambi on the way home sealed the deal. So today I’ll schedule my TPR house call, order a new pack of underwear, and figure out how to get the monkey off our back. Sacrificing a chicken is out because I don’t do blood, lol. So bring on the ideas.
After a month in a half of frame damages, engine soup, and long hours we did get it right. Tyler and I had some ideas that we implemented in the garage. Car handled great all night. We made the handicap in the heat with old reliable between the frame rails.
Brian told me leave the car alone for the feature and we did. Car handled well in the feature. Only reason for the fall back in the beginning was the from getting bottled up and having to jam on the brakes. Got backing moving forward again solidly in the top 10 and got dumped on lap 20. Once we went to the rear, I dropped the gloves and ended up 14th.
Thanks to Brian Rogers for giving up a night of racing to crew chief for me. Thanks to Doug, for all the hard work as well. Guys were money!
Something that was cool last night. When I went to watch the rookie feature in the grandstands, i was approached by a very nice woman. She told me good luck and she was a new fan of mine. Me being socially awkward anytime someone compliments me stumbled through thank you and pleasantries. I still can’t believe people I don’t know or am related to cheer for me weekly and get excited to talk to me. Humbling! Made my day!
I do need to say this, a Huge Congratulations to the 9A team! It was awesome to see these guys get a win! Howard definitely earned the beer shower he received! Great job Howard, Corey, and Dustin!
Now time to pay the bills. Without these folks racing would only be a dream!

Race Recap:
Heat P5 👎 P9
B main P7 ➡️ P4
Feature P26 ➡️ P13
Broke a motor in the heat race on lap 3 or 4. Left me scrambling for a ride. I was humbled to find out that I was offered 2 different cars. Pistol Pete Serra was the first to offer me a car so I quickly hopped in and got acclimated to his office. I was greatly appreciative to Rob for his offer but we already had the 21OG behind our trailer and swapping wheels and tires. It truly amazed me by the support from my fellow competitors. We started last and made my way up staying out of trouble and keeping my eyes down the track. I picked up the pace at the end and grabbed some more spots in the last 10. I can’t thank Pete enough for trusting me in his equipment.
We will regroup and figure out a way to be back in two weeks! Every obstacle placed in front of us we never quit, give up is not in our vocabulary.
Thank you Pete, Tyler, Brian, Bregler, Anthony Sr. and everyone else who helped us tonight!
Thanks to our Wonderful partners that have already started calling to offer support!
