Villanova University Neighbor Updates

Calling all young artists and their families! Join us at the Villanova University Art Gallery on July 9th at 11AM for a morning of discovery and creativity.

We'll start with a guided look at the photography exhibition, Doubling with a Difference, where kids can explore how photographers play with repetition, pattern, and surprise. Then, step outside (sunshine permitting!) to try your hand at cyanotype printing with our Sun Kits - a magical, old-school photography process that uses nothing but sunlight to turn leaves and found treasures into awesome, blue-toned prints.

Kids will leave with their own sun print to take home and show off. If the weather does not cooperate, we'll send you home with the paper for another day of creativity. For kids 6 years old and over and their parents or caregivers, free and open to all. Feel free to bring a few small flat objects from nature (leaves, flowers, feathers) if you have them — we'll have extras too!

The University Art Gallery is located on the second floor of the Connelly Center, in the center of our Villanova Campus.

As our community celebrates America 250, we're pleased to share how Villanova is contributing to this historic milestone.

Michael Moreland — University Professor of Law and Religion and Director of the Eleanor H. McCullen Center for Law, Religion and Public Policy — will be a featured speaker in the DelCo 250 Summer Talks series.

In his session, "The Importance of Our First Amendment Freedoms," Professor Moreland will focus on two of our five First Amendment freedoms — speech and religion — and lead a discussion on why these freedoms matter so much for all of us.

Congratulations to the Nova Knicks—Villanovans Jalen Brunson ’18 College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS), Mikal Bridges ’18 CLAS and Josh Hart ’17 CLAS—for helping lead the New York Knicks to the 2026 NBA Championship. It was the Knicks’ first NBA title in 53 years.

Beginning today, Monday, June 8, Villanova is pleased to welcome high school graduates and their families to Finneran Pavilion for their commencement ceremonies.

🎓 Upper Merion High School will celebrate its graduates tonight at 5:30PM in the Pavilion.

🎓 On Wednesday, June 10, Villanova will welcome Radnor High School for their ceremony in the Pavilion, beginning at 3PM.

🎓 On Thursday, June 11, Marple-Newtown High School graduates and guests will convene in the Pavilion for their ceremony, beginning at 12:00PM.

This week, Villanova is pleased to welcome the Class of 2026 from Harriton High School and Lower Merion High School, along with their families, for graduation ceremonies in Finneran Pavilion.

Harriton High School will celebrate its graduates on Tuesday, June 2 at 6:00 PM, and Lower Merion High School will follow on Wednesday, June 3 at 6:00 PM.

Villanova will host the Main Line Regional College Fair tonight from 6:00 to 8:30PM in Finneran Pavilion.

In conjunction with the Pennsylvania Association for College Admission Counseling (PACAC), this event brings together 200 colleges and universities, providing an opportunity for area high school students and their parents or guardians to start their college search.

All high school students and their families are welcome to attend.
