We are excited to announce that our first KSEA YG Group Reactivation/Registration cycle (November 3 to December 19, 2025) is now open!

Within the form, you will find an Annual Plan Template you will fill out along with a Sample Annual Plan that may serve as a helpful resource when completing your own.

The application will close on December 7 at 11:59 PM EST.

Once your application is reviewed and accepted, your group will be invited to attend the YG Group Orientation on December 16, 2025 at 8:30 PM EST. Additional details about this orientation will be shared in a follow-up email upon your acceptance.

If you are unable to submit your application by the December deadline, there will be a second application cycle from January 12 to February 26, 2026.

The leaders support each YG National Board directors so that they can succesfully act as liaisons between individual YG Groups and the greater KSEA community. If YG Groups at undergraduate or graduate schools face any complicated challenges that the assigned director cannot answer, our leaders will be always there to guide them. This year, NB 2025-26 has been the largest and most competitive team in history that includes 18 members in total, compared to 5 members when NB got esbalished in 2015! We’re excited to announce that the application deadline has been extended to Sunday, May 25, 2025, at 11:59 PM PDT to accommodate those who may need more time. If you've been considering applying but haven’t had the chance yet, this is your opportunity!

The YG National Board serves as the primary liaison between YG Groups and the broader KSEA community, while also leading nationwide initiatives that support young Korean-American leaders in STEM. As a board director, you’ll have the chance to:

- Support and advise 1–3 YG Groups directly
- Contribute to national YG initiatives like the VISION Awards and YG Yearbook
- Collaborate with fellow leaders at monthly meetings
- Help form new YG Groups across the country

This is a great opportunity to stay engaged with KSEA beyond your local YG Group and grow as a national leader in our vibrant community.

The Young Generation (YG) National Board is looking for directors to join our 2025-2026 (KSEA 54th Admin) YG National Board team!

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary liaison between individual YG Groups and the broader KSEA community (1-3 YG Groups as a primary support)
- Play a key role in advocating for the interests of younger members within KSEA by representing them in the Directors’ Council and Local Chapters
- Provide ongoing support to YG Groups and has spearheaded several initiatives to strengthen YG visibility and engagement, including the launch of social media platforms (e.g., Instagram and LinkedIn), the VISION Awards for YG Groups, and the annual YG Yearbook Project
- Meet and discuss current objectives at monthly NB meetings
- Conduct orientations for YG Groups and collect information during mid-year and end-of-year
- Help motivated KSEA YG members in setting up new YG Groups

Desirable characteristics/experiences:
- Active YG KSEA member
- Current or previous YG Group officer experience
- Passionate about helping the youngest leaders of KSEA
- Willing to serve long-term (i.e., 2+ years)
- Able to work independently and take initiative on tasks
- Able to flexibly utilize emails and other modes of contact to ensure uninterrupted communication
- Friendly and sociable; able reach out to strangers without discomfort
- Has attended national and/or regional KSEA events, such as Katalyst, IMPACTs, UKC, (formerly) Ygnite, and/or Regional Conferences

After submitting this application, you may be invited for a short interview with current members of YG National Board, which may include the Chair, Vice Chairs, Directors, and/or Advisors. Interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis, meaning earlier applicants will be prioritized. The final deadline to apply is May 18, 2025, at 11:59 PM PDT. If you are interested in joining the team, we strongly encourage you to apply as early as possible. The first YG National Board meeting will be held in July, followed by monthly meetings thereafter.
