Congratulations to our state wrestling champions!

Our oldest winter season state championship, begun in 1971 under the Virginia Independent Schools Wrestling Association (VISWA), it was first won by Catholic High School (then Norfolk Catholic High School)!

This year's champion was Benedictine College Preparatory! It was the Cadets' sixth overall championship, their first since 2020!

Congratulations to our state indoor track and field champions! This is one of our newer championships, begun in 2007 with Fork Union Military Academy and St. Catherine's School winning our first-ever state titles in the sport!

In Division I girls: St. Catherine's School extended the tradition begun by our first champions, securing a three-peat! The Saints have won 8 of our last 9 championships, 13 of our last 15, and 14 overall!

In Division I boys: Not to be outdone by their sister school, St. Christopher's School - Richmond, VA also secured a three-peat! It was the Saints' sixth championship overall!

In Division II girls AND boys: North Cross School took home both trophies! It's a repeat for the boys and a first-ever state championship for the girls! These titles extend an impressive run for these athletes, as some also competed on North Cross's double-state champion cross country teams this past fall!

Congratulations to our state swimming and diving champions! Our state swimming and diving championship is older than VISAA, itself! Believed to have been first held in 1975, we do not have record of the first meet, its venue, or its champions. The first meet with records, held in 1978 at University of Virginia, saw Bishop O'Connell High School's girls and Bishop Ireton High School's boys take home the title!

This year's champions continue that proud history!

In Division I Girls: Collegiate School five-peated as champions, winning their 12th title overall!

In Division II Girls: Seton High School, Manassas VA won their second title in four years, and their third overall!

In Division I Boys: St. Christopher's School - Richmond, VA secured a six-peat, and their ninth title overall!

In Division II Boys: The Covenant School, Charlottesville, VA completed a four-peat!
