VISAA wishes all of our member schools, administrators, coaches, student-athletes, and families a safe and happy 4th of July! Happy 250th, U.S.A.!

Rounding out our spring champion shoutouts, we have our baseball champions!

Our first baseball championship was in 1992, won first by Greenbrier Christian Academy (Division I) and Nansemond-Suffolk Academy (Division II).

This year, we crowned three more champions for the VISAA history books!

Division I: St. Paul VI Catholic High School (sixth championship, first since 2012)
Division II: Highland School Warrenton, VA (third in five years)
Division III: Walsingham Academy (eighth straight)

Today we finish our look back at the achievements of our spring state champions. First up today are our golf champions!

VISAA began sponsoring a golf championship in 2008, with Carlisle School taking the first D-I title and Greenbrier Christian Academy the first D-II title. In 2025, we sponsored our first girls golf championship, with St. Catherine's School winning the inaugural title. Golf has become one of VISAA's fastest-growing sports!

This year's champions have been no strangers to VISAA championships!

Girls: St. Paul VI Catholic High School (first girls championship)
Coed/Boys Division I: Woodberry Forest School (fourth straight, ninth overall)
Coed/Boys Division II: Trinity Christian School of Fairfax (third straight)
Coed/Boys Division III: New Covenant Schools (second in three years)

Finishing up today's look back at spring state champions, we have our girls lacrosse champions!

Another championship which celebrated its 20th anniversary this year, the first champions were Episcopal High School in Alexandria, Va. and The Potomac School!

This year's champions were already fixtures of the event, and wrote their school's name a little bolder in the VISAA history books by hoisting another trophy!

Division I: St. Stephen's and St. Agnes School (first since 2021, 11th overall)
Division II: The Covenant School, Charlottesville, VA (fifth straight, sixth overall)

Next, we have our boys lacrosse champions!

Our state boys lacrosse championship history goes back to 1978 when the Charlottesville Chapter of USLacrosse began hosting "The Invitational Lacrosse Tournament" (TILT) annually as a postseason tournament for public and private schools across the Commonwealth, a tournament which continued until a few years after VISAA's consolidation. The first champion was Norfolk Academy!

This year saw two teams repeat as champions:

Division I: St. Anne's-Belfield School (tenth overall)
Division II: Cross School (seventh overall)

Today's spring champion retrospective begins with our three state girls soccer champions!

Another championship event which is celebrating its 20th anniversary, our first state champions in 2006 were Norfolk Academy and Highland School Warrenton, VA!

This year's champions were another mix of familiar faces and first-time winners!

Division I: Norfolk Academy (first since 2011, fifth overall)
Division II: North Cross School (first-ever)
Division III: New Covenant Schools (first-ever)

Next, we honor our three amazing state girls softball champions!

Our state softball championship began in 1993, when Division I meant "fast-pitch" and Division II meant "slow-pitch!" Nansemond-Suffolk Academy won the first fast-pitch state championship and of Wight Academy won the first slow-pitch state championship.

Now it's all fast-pitch, and this year's champions were exciting to watch!

Division I: St. Catherine's School (team's first-ever state championship)
Division II: Nansemond-Suffolk Academy (seventh straight, eighth overall)
Division III: Brunswick Academy (third in five years, fifth overall)
