As well as being an extraordinary physical test, the real challenge is to raise much-needed funds to grant the wishes of children with critical illnesses in Central and Western North Carolina. HomeAid’s annual Diaper Drive is a community-based donation drive aimed at collecting diapers and wipes for babies and toddlers experiencing or at risk of experiencing homelessness in our community. With prices rising and supply issues continuing there is now more need than ever for these items and unfortunately, diapers and wipes cannot be purchased using Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) or Women, Infants, and Children (WIC). The diapers and wipes are collected each year between Mother’s Day and Father’s Day and are then distributed to local nonprofit organizations serving our region.
