Prying myself away from the printmaking and flying off to spend time with my family and friends in the UK.
I will come back recharged and ready for the summer camp!
‼️ My shop will not be processing any new orders until July 26th.
⭐️Latest obsession: I have been playing with thread and shadows, and am taking my sewing kit with me to London 😍

Two tinkering sessions at the National Children's Museum yesterday, and look at the beautiful prints we made!
We were exploring organic landscapes v built environments and printed on cotton and chiffon, producing very different results.
It was fun listening to young visitors make up elaborate stories about their environments as they created them. 😍

Early morning members only tinkering session at National Children's Museum DC! We printed with cardboard stencils and found objects to create our own tees! Some things we used to print with: bubble wrap, legos, corks, forks, and food packaging. ♻️

More collaborative cityscape printing today at the National Children's Museum , although it felt like the buildings were slowly getting more expansive and suburban. Lots of things in the sky too!
The next Tinkering session will be this Sunday when we will progress logically onto naturescapes.

If at first you don’t succeed, try, try, try again.
This is humbling but also so much fun. I’m starting to get the hang of it. Here are things I’ve found:
-medium body paint works best for me
-use a sparing, translucent amount of paint, and clean the brayer regularly.
- only roll the paint in one direction, not back and forth
- tissue paper is best when starting out.

The good, the bad, and the really ugly.
Turns out, gelli printing is harder than it looks! 😭
I’ll keep trying though, and hopefully, once I’ve got the hang of it, we can do this at the museum.
