Some of my friends know that I have been an avid shooter for many decades. One of the very best training tools for shooting long distance is the .22 caliber rifle. I have owned many throughout the years. One of the very best has been my R***r Precision Rimfire Rifle. Most of the fundamentals regarding precision long distance shooting can be learned with a .22 caliber without breaking the bank for ammunition. This is an excellent tool for beginners and very challenging for more advanced shooters at longer distances in adverse weather. Give it a try. You will love it!!! Great family activity.

Congratulations to my long term student and great friend, Ed Kimes. Grandmaster Zdenek Matl and I had the Honor of promoting Ed to Godan, 5th Degree Black Belt. He is now the highest ranking Black Belt under my student lineage.

Yesterday, a fantastic time was had by all at the Mid Coast Family Services hosted self-defense seminar. The seminar was presented by Integrity Defensive Arts and Rick Torres. As our previous seminar, this one was attended by many. A lot was learned. There will be more of these in the future, and we will inform you of the when and where. A big shout out and thanks to Mid Coast Family Services for hosting the Self Defense Seminar held Friday evening. Integrity Defensive Arts co -hosted the event with Rick Torres, Lead Instructor at Integrity serving as the Seminar instructor for the evening. A lot learned by the participants and a great time had by all.
Stay tuned another one will be held in a few weeks at the Victoria College on the 24th. No fee to attend!

Some martial Arts schools do not let their students train with weapons until they become more advanced in rank. As an instructor, I believe the exact opposite. I believe that weapons training helps students to understand distance, ranging with the weapon and proper use of body mechanics. This is the beginners class learning how to use, the Kali stick (Filipino Martial Arts” as well as the Jo (short staff). Weapons training is a critical part of Integrity Defensive Arts because it also trains you to be a better empty hand fighter.
