Tomorrow's the day!!
Kitten season is here and with it comes a reality that people face all across the country... unexpected litters, limited access to affordable care, and not enough resources.
Next week, on April 17th, we are hosting a Kitten Surrender Event at our Minneapolis location. The goal is simple... breaking the cycle before it can begin again by spaying and neutering kittens before they get adopted out into their homes.
Over 1.5 MILLION kittens enter shelters across the nation every single year 🤯 The hard truth is that we don't have capacity for that and animals end up euthanized to create space for more incoming animals. Our goal is to lower the number of animals that end up in the shelter system by supporting the humans that love and care for these animals.
The event focuses on more than just bringing kittens into rescue to get spayed/neutered. We will be providing food and litter for other pets in your home and vouchers for spay/neuter surgeries. Every single person that brings in a social kitten between the ages of 4 weeks and 4 months will receive two FREE vouchers to get other animals in their home spayed/neutered.
This is one small way that we can help lower the number of animals entering shelters every single year. That creates a ripple effect and will result in less animals being euthanized due to space.
If you have kittens that need placement, pets at home who aren’t yet spayed or neutered, or maybe you just need support and resources... whatever you need, we’re here to help ❤

😂
A couple in Scottsdale woke up every morning to find every single kitchen cabinet wide open. For weeks they blamed each other. Then they blamed their kids. Then they set up cameras.
Their tuxedo cat, Professor, spends four hours every night methodically opening every cabinet door in the kitchen. He starts at the bottom left, works his way around the room, and finishes with the ones above the fridge - which he reaches by jumping from the counter to the top of the refrigerator.
