🦌🦆 Spring is baby wildlife season at Riverside Golf Course!

As you enjoy the course and surrounding areas, you may spot young deer, ducklings, goslings, and other wildlife tucked into the grass or near the water. While they may appear alone or vulnerable, in most cases their parents are nearby and keeping watch.

Here are a few important reminders to help keep our wildlife safe:

✅ DO:
• Observe wildlife from a distance
• Keep dogs leashed and under control
• Slow down golf carts and be aware near ponds and tall grass
• Give animal families plenty of space to move naturally
• Contact local wildlife professionals if an animal appears truly injured or in immediate danger

🚫 DON’T:
• Touch, feed, or try to rescue baby animals
• Separate babies from their mothers
• Chase wildlife for photos or closer viewing
• Allow pets or children to approach nests or hiding spots
• Assume a baby animal is abandoned simply because it is alone

Many young animals stay hidden while their mothers forage nearby, and human interaction can create unnecessary stress or danger.

We’re fortunate to share Riverside Golf Course with so much beautiful wildlife - let’s all do our part to protect it. 💚🌿
