Back to my roots in a bittersweet symphony of The Dead. This is where I learned about music, poetry, loyalty and the end of innocence. ♥️

Caught in a haze of 18 year old wanderlust, I found harmonies in a little band, drugs and learned how to follow. It would be the temporary undoing of my college music career. I left it all behind and became immersed in my disease of addiction. I nursed that for 18 years and it almost killed me. Almost.

I’ve romanced sobriety and done it my way, lost it all only to be given grace again. What was waiting for me? My mess to clean up and the other m…music.

We will be playing Open Studio in Englewood at Bob and Lisa’s place tomorrow night. If anyone would like to sing or play this particular song with us, please come, bring your voice, your congas, your guitar, I don’t care. We will figure it out. We always do.
