We’ve seen some questions online about our switch to a new distributor, and we thought we could answer a few questions. The last couple of days, we have had representatives from AFS at the store, helping to prepare for the upcoming change.
Our first truck is Thursday this week, and we will have new items, and will continue to bring in new items in the following weeks.
Some of the new items will replace existing brands that we carry.
These come with a perk. Every day low prices. KVI’s, also known as Known Value Items, will be a consistently valued price item throughout the store.
TPR, temporarily priced items, will be displayed throughout each aisle. Exclusive Brands will stream in, replacing Essential Everyday items.
Your hometown grocery store is going through a major change, and we thank each and every one of you for your patronage.
We are so excited to bring Velva access to affordable groceries, national brands, and the same customer service expected in a local business.
We’re curious, and we suppose you are too so this fall and winter, every Friday, we will host a taste testing event! We want you to check out the new items! Please come in and let us know what you think!

YOU HAVE BEEN CHALLENGED!

The Velva American Legion Auxiliary is doing a CHANGE CHALLENGE to help raise money to support the ND State Auxiliary initiative to provide scholarships to students choosing TRADE SCHOOLS.

Please support this initiative by saving and donating your Change in the month of August! Change receptacles will be placed at several businesses in Velva to make it easy and convenient for you to find a donation location. Or if you have a LARGE donation of coins or simply want to donate money towards this effort, you can drop it off at the Legion on Mondays or Thursdays between 6-11pm.

Donations will be accepted through August 28th, then a total amount will be tallied and announced the following week.
