This should be a great show! I hope you are able to stop by and have a look. My latest painting, "XVI. The Tower", will be among the original works on display, alongside artworks created by a stellar lineup of artists, including two of my fellow visionaries, Liba WS and Krisztina Lazar! With two Art Walk receptions - Friday, May 8, 5-8 pm (Belltown Art Walk), and Friday, May 22, 5-8 pm (Downtown Art Walk). Regular gallery hours for the rest of the show are Wed-Sat 12-7 and Sun 12-5. Prints of all four of my tarot-themed paintings (some canvas, some paper) will be available.

For those wondering how all the subtle colors in my painting of The Tower were attained, this set of images - the underpainting next to the finished piece - might help to explain where it all comes from. :-)

For no stated reason, and without any warning, Facebook decided to delete a bunch of my art photos. One day, I was looking at my albums and noticed many images were gone, including some which had 100+ likes and many comments. I don't know how long they were missing, but, I'm re-loading them now.

"XVI. The Tower", acrylic glazes on panel, 30.5 x 23 cm. This reproduction is more true to the original painting than the one I posted a few days ago.

Two of my original artworks will be included in this groovy group show celebrating (non-human) animals. I know it's a long shot to expect anyone to make a special trip out to Vashon Island for this, but...if you live there, or you happen to be going there during our exhibition, please stop by and check it out. Or if you know anyone who lives there who might be interested, please let them know about it. Vashon Center for the Arts, 19600 Vashon Hwy SW. Gallery hours are Wednesday through Sunday, 12 pm - 5 pm. Opening reception is Friday January 9, 5-8 pm.

If you like my art, but you can’t afford (or don’t want to pay) the high price of an original, please consider a print. The ones I’ve made in recent years are of particularly high quality. Shown here is “II. The High Priestess”, an original painting, of which I have two gorgeous canvas prints available. Expertly proofed, and made with archival quality inks on canvas, stretched over 1.5" stretcher bars (“gallery wrap”) and varnished with gloss UV protection. Hand-signed, and Approximately 14.5 x 8.5”, which is the same size as the original painting. Only 175 US. And if you’re local to the Seattle area, you can skip shipping costs by arranging to buy it in person. I’ll even offer a further discount for such in-person purchases, and you can have it for a cool 150. Please send me a message to arrange this….or….if you want to have it shipped to you, it is available at my online shoppe. The link to this product is in the comments below, and you can further explore my shoppe from there, in addition to viewing and purchasing The High Priestess. And, as always, I thank you for your enthusiasm for my work. ❤️

Friends! If you would prefer to support artists, artisans, and regular modest people over big businesses this holiday season, please consider a few options which I am offering…
- My online shoppe (link in comments) contains a variety of prints, greeting cards, and even a few small originals. I can ship almost anywhere in the world. If you are local (Seattle USA area), you can even skip the shipping cost, contact me directly, and buy the item(s) in person.
- My hard cover coffee table art book, “Transformation Window” is available online through the publisher. (Link also in comments). 104 pages, full color, richly illustrated, showcasing much of the art I’ve created over the past 30+ years. IF YOU PURCHASE MY BOOK BY DECEMBER 1, THE PUBLISHER IS OFFERING A 30% DISCOUNT…JUST USE THE CODE BOOKGIFT30 AT CHECKOUT.
- My original paintings and drawings are, for the most part, not inexpensive. The work takes a very very long time. But, for anyone curious about owning one of my originals, you are always welcome to inquire. If you’re local, or going to visit the Seattle area soon, you are most welcome to schedule a viewing if you’d like to see the work in person.
Additionally, if you would like to share your work with me (and my other friends), please include info about what you do and where to find it, in the comments. Especially if you’ve created a wildly imaginative art book 😊
I hope this message finds you feeling well and inspired. Thanks very much for your love and support. ❤️
