New Book Available - Rivers of Living Water!

Hidden up above the quiet bays of Mount Athos, the St. George Kellion of Kolitsou was home to some of the most remarkable Athonite Elders of the 20th century. This book gathers their lives, struggles, and spiritual counsel—above all the witness of the recently glorified Elder and Saint Dionysius Ignat (†2004), but also his fellow strugglers such as Hieroschemamonk George (Gamaliel) Boboc (†2005), Elder John Shova (†2009), and other fathers who lived and prayed in this small corner of the Holy Mountain.

Through eyewitness accounts, pilgrims’ journals, and rare testimonies, Rivers of Living Water opens a window into the Athonite life at Kolitsou: to their nights of stillness and prayer, to their bonds of spiritual brotherhood in Christ, to the hardships of poverty and exile they endured, and to the spiritual wisdom distilled within them through decades of ascetic struggle.

This is not simply a biography of one man but a living memory of a spiritual family, bound together in Christ and dedicated to the Mother of God, the Protectress of the Holy Mountain. Readers will find here not only the history of a Kellion and its fathers, but also guidance, encouragement, and a glimpse of the grace that sustained them.

An update on Fr. Tryphon :)

We Need A Mircale I'm asking for your prayers through the weekend so that old Grandpa Tryphon can leave the care center and return to the monastery for continued recovery. For more Abbot Tryp

Glory be to God, yesterday Fr. Tryphon was moved out of the hospital and into a dedicated Physical Rehab Facility yesterday! Now begins the long and likely difficult and painful process of physical rehabilitation to help him "get back up on step" so that he will be able to return to the monastery. Please continue praying for him!

Again, we will update as we can here, so please do not flood the monastery with phone calls and emails!

Just an update on Father Tryphon.
He had a second surgery to correct a problem from his initial surgery.
There have been some complications since then that the doctors and nurses are steadily addressing.
It may be another week or two.
Please continue praying.

Please say a prayer for Abbot Tryphon.

He was recovering from his surgery a month ago and all was going well until last Sunday when he started having excruciating nerve pains shooting all down the inside of his one leg to the foot, most likely coming from nerve in the area of surgery.

He is on his way to the ER.

We will update as we get them here, so please do not flood the monastery with phone calls and emails. ^^

Edit 06_27_24: No substantial update. They are still running tests and looking at the results. Fr. Tryphon seems to be in a more upbeat state today and the pain seems to be a bit more manageable for the moment. Please keep praying!
