Pride Street Dance fills Vashon Highway with color - Vashon-Maury Island Beachcomber DOVE’s fifth annual Pride Street Dance brought color, rainbows and celebration to the heart of Vashon on Friday, June 5.

Friday, June 5th: 5th Annual Pride Street Dance at the Vashon Theatre from 5:30pm to 8:00pm. Q***r Culture Couture Fashion Show at 6:00pm

Wednesday, June 10th: Wacky Wednesdays: Pride at the Senior Center at 1:00pm. Owl House Pride Watch Party at Orbit Youth Space at 6:15pm.

Saturday, June 20th: Pride Songs & Stories with Sylvia O’Stayformore at Open Space for Arts & Community at 11am.

This free joyful celebration is a beautiful reminder of what makes our island community so special: connection, inclusion, love, and showing up for one another. There will be community partners offering free haircuts, face painting and more.

This Pride Month, The DOVE Project celebrates the strength, dignity, and joy of the LGBTQIA+ community.

At DOVE, we believe every person deserves to be safe, supported, and seen. Pride is more than a celebration. It is a reminder that everyone deserves love without fear, relationships rooted in respect, and access to support that honors their full humanity.
