"...this place gave me something I hadn’t had in a long time.... hope."
Carmen is officially a graduate from 415 West Safe Stay! The OI staff are thrilled to see where her journey takes her next.
"Please don’t give up on yourselves. Even when progress feels small, even when you feel tired, discouraged, embarrassed, or afraid, keep going. Healing is not linear. Recovery is not perfect. Growth is uncomfortable. But every small step matters more than you realize.
There were days I doubted myself completely. Days I felt ashamed. Days I felt lost. But I kept showing up anyway. And sometimes that’s the biggest victory of all: simply refusing to quit on yourself."

Team OI's Crystal Drake, Shawn Kingsbury and Benjamin Todd had a wonderful opportunity to attend , a four-day conference dedicated to peer support, wellness, and community.
"I'm so grateful that a national conference like Peerpocalypse exists, and we're so lucky that it's held right in our backyard! Since the peer-model recovery is self-defined, it makes sense that Peer Support takes on a lot of different looks around the country, and the combined experience of everyone in that conference hall was such a huge wealth of knowledge. Each time you stepped in a room, it was impossible not to learn something new." - Benjamin Todd, Data and Operations Specialist at Outsiders Inn
