James has been building a 1997 overland style Land Cruiser and had it in the shop this week for us to fix a leak in the A/C system. We’ve watched this build evolve over the past year, and it turns heads anytime it’s here at the shop.

Darrin recently had his 1967 and his 1969 Chevy Camaros at the shop for maintenance. After we diagnosed a misfire and some run-ability issues on the 69’ he came and swapped out the car for the 67’ Camaro. Both cars were clean examples of all original, numbers matching, classic hot rods

George had his heavily modified, Magnuson-supercharged 2008 Chevy Silverado with us at the shop for a misfire diagnosis and tuning. We found that the low-end misfire was caused by poor fuel pump efficiency, along with a 1-bar MAP sensor that prevented us from properly logging and managing boost pressure. We upgraded the factory fuel pump to a DeatshWerks DW400 in-tank electric fuel pump module and replaced the MAP sensor with a 2-bar unit. Once it was tuned, the truck ran great and is making the power we’d expect with the fully built 6l80E and built LS combination.

Skylor initially had his 2009 GMC Sierra 2500 in the shop for a TSP Chopocabra camshaft upgrade. During tear down we found that a lifter had been stuck open and that the cam bearings were going to need to be replaced. We installed new lifters, cam bearings, and got the engine fully reassembled and installed prior to dyno tuning

Our customer Scott was having some issues with the tune and reliability in his LS-swapped BMW touring car. We were happy to get it in the shop this February and diagnose a couple issues as well as squeeze some more reliable power out of it. He now has a couple of races under his belt in which the car has been totally reliable, an issue he struggled with all last season. Check out this in-car footage he posted from Pacific Raceways.

Sean recently brought in his mother’s 2000 Honda S2000 because it was having no crank, no start issues. We diagnosed a bad starter as well as a coolant leak from the radiator. We got the starter replaced and replaced the radiator with an upgraded CFS radiator. The AP1 Honda S2000 is only becoming more rare, and we were happy to have such a clean example come through the shop.
