This customer has a home standby generator that we installed about 10 years ago. It started smoking really bad and running rough and shutting down so we went out to diagnose it. We found out that the generator had a burnt valve which caused oil to get into the intake and burn. We replaced both cylinder heads with all new components and the generator runs like new. The customer should get another 10 to 15 years out of this generator and peace of mind knowing he will always have power even when it goes out everywhere else. "How would you get power from this house to the garage? Would you trench down to code depth in the 3" gap between these giant concrete pavers and then bore under the last one by hand? We did. It took 12 hours but we did it and put everything back like it was before we started. This garage hasn't had power for over 13 years but it's finally restored and the customer is very, very happy.
