Princess Bobombs
I crochet nifty wearable art inspired by video games, science fiction, fantasy, role-playing, comic Learning to slow down is always the hardest thing.
Princess Bob-omb's is a very small very private business, It consists of me, and my crochet hooks, my emotional support kitty*, and occasionally my spouse will help with some of the joining. *Allergy notice: cat has access to all parts of home, including yarn bin; cat allergics should wash all Princess Bob-ombs products before use. When I began learning to crochet I was in a time of transition, le
*Big stretch and yawn.* happy New Year 2016! It has been a long sabbatical for my health. In June I had shoulder surgery, but before that I was experiencing heightened complications with my fibro/other pain conditions and my memory/cognizance issues making it extremely difficult to create new patterns that added up.
I am now working on relearning crochet 6 months after the surgery. In the past month I have made a few simple items from existing free, purchased or self-created-in-in-the-past patterns and a couple just winging it, but unable to record the pattern as I go along, I may not be adding *new* styles of inventory items for some time, but I feel like I may be ready to open up shop again by February 2016 offering my classic self-patterned hats and headband styles..
As for those items I have already written a pattern for will be re-added as bespoke listings on Etsy. (What I mean by bespoke is each hat is made to order after you purchase the listing). I won't be taking request for new styles of custom hats for a little while, but I do hope to get to work on figuring out a couple of old requests if possible for those who were asking.
What's up next for Princess Bobombs? I have a new hat design coming out in December in tribute to Akira Toriyama. What is your favorite Videogame/Anime character he has designed? I like Picolo.
I've been sick, for a long while, sorry about the no new project posts or anything. Happy New Year!, here's a funny, and possibly relevant story a friend shared on her timeline:

Working on a personal project, and it's lots of fun, but so small and detailed that my fibro is really slowing me down. When I'm not creating for others, I sometimes do personal projects just for me.

Richard Judi Rusti Jacquelyn There are better photos on the shop page, but here is the finished prototype. Keith is getting lots of complements on it at work and out shopping!
Many have asked for it and so a year after the initial inquiry, I finally got my first prototype of the visor helm hat aka Dragon Quest Helmet Hat. As you can see this one is a little loose fitting, so my next incarnation will fit just a little snugger and the visor will button into place rather than be stitched on, and the visor will be a half inch narrower, but otherwise this is the Bob-om take on a visored knights helmet.

"I saw this awesome thing, can you make me one?" Sure, given time to develop the pattern and enough material to practice, that is. I cannot make the fin I have seen in other similar hats stand, and look nice, yet, so mine are visor + helmet = hat. If you have a suggestion or request for top of hat decoration, I am happy to hear them!

I've got a couple questions for you folks out there in internet-land:
Firstly, a friend in the long hair community has a beautiful young son who is being treated for ALL Leukemia. Some of us long haired artists are talking about doing a fundraiser. What of my current products or what suggested *new* product would you like to see me make for the cause?
Second, another opinion based creation query: I am working on putting together a gift for a long haired person who loves cats and hates barrettes. What do *you* think I should make? I am leaning toward a cat-ears Calorimetry, but that seems like such a small thing. What else do you think would be a good addition?
