Garbage trucks!!!

Trying to come up with a garbage truck themed birthday present for a little boy that wasn’t a garbage truck toy proved difficult- until I remembered I can paint 😂 coming up with the logistics of turning a shoe into a garbage truck was so challenging but also so much fun, and I think it translates well enough that those who know who @official_waste_connections are will get it, but also just look like cool shoes if you don’t. I somehow lost all the footage I took of me actually taking these from a plain black canvas shoe to a garbage truck delight, but I am glad I finally get to post about them! Today was the day I was finally able to gift these to the birthday boy and now I can share with you! A few weeks ago, I did an in person event and I only sold one item. A keychain to a little girl who asked me to paint a sunset on it. We talked about what colors she wanted, clouds, palm trees, etc. and she even paid with her allowance (I gave it to her at cost). Today I got this in the mail. I’m crying. This makes me so happy, and I hope I get to see her again so I can hug her and tell her how much getting this thank you card meant to me. My heart is so happy.
