Hello April! A new month means a new color story.
April brings back some bright colors and energy to our story.

I will be exploring painted marks, shapes, and images with these colors. A mix of my mineral paint, pan pastels and watercolors. This is going to be fun.

March didn’t go as planned.

It became a month of slowing down, of rest, of quietly finding my way back to feeling like myself again. There were no long days in the studio, no deep dives into process—just small moments of recovery and listening to what my body needed.

But even in the stillness, the March color story stayed with me.

Today, I finally had the energy to return—gently. I took simple drawings and let them become patterns. Nothing complicated, nothing forced. Just a reminder that even the most subtle color stories can hold so much presence.

It is time for a new color story. This month we are going soft and subtle. A gentle story of color that brings a calm presence.

Wrapping up February today. This color story was full of fun and celebration. Taking simple paint marks and bringing them together to tell the story of birthday surprise and delight.

Birthday girl, caught in the act 📸 My dear friend showed up with a beautiful lemon cake, and naturally I had to document it — tea poured, lemons sliced, everything just so.

This is exactly how I’d choose to spend a birthday, and honestly, it’s exactly how I’d choose to spend any day.

And if that wasn’t enough, we spent the rest of the day shooting behind the scenes of everything coming your way in 2026 — new collections, new adventures, all the good things. What a way to ring in another year. 🍋

Why do I call it a color story — not a palette, not a theme?

Because color unfolds. It leads. It communicates. It brings everything together.

Before the design. Before the composition. Before anything else takes shape, the colors are already speaking. There are main characters, and there are supporting ones — each with a role, each with something to say.

Color is how I connect with the work. It’s the first conversation I have with a new collection, and it sets the tone for everything that follows. By the time I sit down to design, the story is already being told.

I’m just listening — and translating.

From my February color story — alive in pinks and cream — comes this small celebration of love.

Valentine’s Day has become a symbol for love, but it doesn’t have to be just the romantic kind. Let’s make today about the way we show up for ourselves. The way we care for our neighbors. The way we invest in our community. The small kindnesses. The brave tenderness. The good we choose to put into the world.

Let this day be a reminder that love is bigger than one relationship — it’s a practice. A posture. A choice.

Wishing you a beautiful day of love.

That time when I painted in the parking lot with Darth Vader.

Even the dark side has its light moments. Darth Vader was a figure from my childhood, I watched those movies (the original three, just to be clear) on repeat. When he walked up to me that day, breathing that famous, slightly ominous sound, the little kid in me couldn’t help but light up.
His only words, “There isn’t enough black”.

When things feel heavy and creativity feels hard to summon, I find it helps to revisit memories filled with joy, laughter, and play. This was one of those moments—a reminder that creativity doesn’t have to be serious to be meaningful, and that celebrating joy is sometimes the bravest creative act there is.

Welcome to our February Color Story.

February, for me, has always been pink and orange.
Long before it became a color story, it was a ritual. My birthday lives in this month, and for over a decade I’ve celebrated it wrapped in these two colors—bold, playful, warm, unapologetically joyful. Pink for softness and delight. Orange for energy, creativity, and that little spark that says something good is about to happen. Together, they feel like celebration without needing a reason.

Over time, these colors stopped being just about one day. They became how February feels to me. A reminder in the middle of winter that warmth is coming back. That joy can be intentional. That color can hold memory.

This February color story is a love letter to that tradition—pinks and oranges that hold both softness and energy, joined by greens to add depth and renewal.

Some color stories arrive quietly.
