From February 1 to December 31, 2026, we invite Texans of all ages to log 2,500 minutes (41.6 hours) of reading, city and state park visits, and/or service activities in honor of our nation's 250'th anniversary.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐥?
• Reading or listening to books or read-alouds
• Attending library or city events
• Volunteering
• Visiting a city or state park

Everyone who completes the challenge will receive a certificate with the Governor's signature. Finished the challenge? Let your librarian know so we can celebrate you with a certificate!
