A lot of people write off their little dogs bad behaviors like barking all the time, having accidents in the house, and begging (to name a few) because they’re little and honestly these behaviors should be worked on even if “they’re little”. 🚨 WE NEED YOUR HELP — OUR KENNELS ARE FULL 🚨 At BOTH Humane Society of Tampa Bay campuses, we have reached a critical point. We are completely out of space for medium and large dogs (over 30 lbs). Because of this, we are now forced to pause intake for both owner surrenders and strays who need full-sized kennels.
This is not something we ever want to do.
Right now, adoptable dogs are being housed in intake kennels, the spaces normally reserved for incoming animals in need. That means we cannot say “yes” to the next dog who needs us... until space opens up.
And the only way to open that space… is with your help. PLEASE ADOPT OR FOSTER A MEDIUM/LARGE DOG. These are READY-TO-GO, ADOPTABLE DOGS who simply need a place to land.
Fostering can be:
• A weekend
• A week
• Or longer
Even a short break from the shelter:
✔ Gives them relief from kennel stress
✔ Helps them shine in a home environment
✔ Frees up a kennel so we can save another life
✨ ADOPTION SPECIAL ✨
To help move these amazing dogs into homes:
- 1/2 price adoption fees for dogs over 30 lbs
- FREE harness + leash
