Thank your representative for voting to pass the Supporting Youth Opportunity and Preventing Delinquency Act (H.R. 5963) in the U.S. House of Representatives! http://www.pta.org/advocacy/takesaction.cfm
Endorsed by National PTA, the Supporting Youth Opportunity and Preventing Delinquency Act (H.R. 5963) would reauthorize the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act (JJDPA) and improve the nation’s juvenile justice system. The JJDPA was originally signed into law in 1974 and has been due for reauthorization since 2007.

Thank Your Member of Congress for Voting to Improve Juvenile Justice Policies!
The Senate Appropriations Committee did NOT fund Statewide Family Engagement Centers in their appropriations bill so we are turning our advocacy efforts to the U.S. House of Representatives. This week, the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education and Related Agencies will be considering what federal education programs to fund. Call your representative and tell them to support funding for the Statewide Family Engagement Centers (SFECs) grant program to make sure families are equal partners in their child's education!
