OLA was proud to support the Mechanical Engineering students at Manhattan University's Annual ME Day.
The event brings students together with industry professionals to learn about career paths, connect with firms like OLA, and present their senior projects.
On behalf of the ASHRAE Bi-State Chapter, James F. Dolan, PE presented scholarships to three outstanding Mechanical Engineering students. Congratulations to Jeff Laederach, Kelly Roff, and Arianna Steele.
OLA served as Venue Sponsor for this NY and CT AMFP event, bringing together professionals from across the healthcare-built environment for an evening of conversation, connections, and shared perspectives. Thank you to everyone who joined us.

OLA Consulting Engineers is providing HVAC engineering services as part of the Pelham School District Construction Bond initiative, supporting infrastructure upgrades across multiple schools throughout the district.
The proposed work includes replacing aging steam heating systems with upgraded hydronic systems at Colonial Elementary School, Prospect Hill Elementary School, Pelham Memorial High School and Middle School, and Siwanoy Elementary School, along with the addition of central air conditioning at several campuses. These improvements are intended to enhance system efficiency, reliability, and indoor comfort while supporting long-term building performance.
Construction at Colonial Elementary School and Prospect Hill Elementary School is anticipated to begin in Summer 2026, with Siwanoy Elementary School planned for Summer 2027 and additional renovations at PMHS scheduled to begin in 2028.

OLA was honored to attend the 59th Annual Engineering Excellence Awards Gala hosted by American Council of Engineering Companies of New York at the New York Hilton Midtown
We are grateful to have received both a Platinum Award for the North Campus Passive House Dormitory Complex and a Gold Award for the Stevenson Library Geothermal Conversion at Bard College. We were joined by project team members from Bard College, DBI Projects, and Brightcore Energy to celebrate the recognition for these two great projects.
The Engineering Excellence Awards recognize projects demonstrating innovation, technical achievement, and impact on the built environment. Congratulations to all of this year’s award recipients, and thank you to our clients, collaborators, and project teams for their partnership and dedication throughout these projects.

Design is being restarted for a major renovation at UJA’s Staten Island site, focused on upgrading and enhancing existing camp facilities. The project includes improvements to 11 existing rain shelters, a new open-air pavilion, reconstructed wash facilities, and updates to the Aquatics Center, including lifeguard and changing areas.
OLA Consulting Engineers is providing HVAC, electrical, and plumbing design services to support the upgrades across the site.

Commissioning (Cx) focuses on getting it right from the start, ensuring systems are designed, installed, and operating as intended. Retro-commissioning (RCx) examines buildings already in use, identifying where systems have drifted and bringing them back into better alignment, which improves comfort and reduces unnecessary energy use.
On Earth Day, it’s a simple reminder that performance matters. When systems run as they should, buildings use less energy, operate more efficiently, and have a lighter impact on the environment.
The OLA team focuses on these results, supporting performance across all buildings and their contribution to the overall health of our planet.
