After becoming a mother in 2019, I was inspired to incorporate messy play everyday as the benefits surpass the hassle of the mess. I have a Masters degree in social work and for my career have focused on social and emotional well-being for young kids. I created Check into play as a way to incorporate my love for crafting, the need to increase social and emotional development with young kids and the want to create a community.

This winter season has been filled so far with creating, field trips, and outdoor play. Education scattered on throughout the day through play is the best way to learn and have concepts stick. Enjoying learning alongside these little ones!

A considerable part of our day is spent outdoors. In chilly weather, we modify our play schedule to include shorter periods. The basement serves as a useful auxiliary space for creativity and physical activity during indoor time.
