❄️ After the Snowstorm: Stay Safe in Sub-Zero Temps ❄️

• Watch for ice. Refreezing can happen overnight—use salt or sand on walkways and driveways to prevent slips and falls.
• Check your pipes. Let faucets drip slightly, open cabinet doors, and watch for signs of frozen or burst pipes.
• Clear vents & exhausts. Make sure dryer vents, furnace vents, and gas appliance exhausts are free of snow and ice to prevent carbon monoxide buildup.
• Use space heaters safely. Keep them at least 3 feet from anything flammable and never leave them unattended.
• Check your roof & gutters. Safely remove heavy snow buildup to help prevent ice dams and water damage.
• Be cautious with generators. Use outdoors only—never in garages or near windows.
• Limit travel when possible. Black ice is common after storms, especially on bridges and shaded roads.
