Oregon eviction crisis: Families face court as funding cuts bite 02/07/2026

We are calling for a restoration of $10m for eviction prevention funds to stem the rise in evictions and homelessness this legislative session.

As if there was a direct line of correlation, following the 74% defunding of eviction prevention services last legislative session, January of 2026 saw a massive spike in eviction filings.

These programs work, keeping thousands of Oregonian housed during an extremely unstable economic period. We call upon our legislative leaders to restore at least $4m of the funding cuts to stop the avalanche of expected evictions.

Oregon eviction crisis: Families face court as funding cuts bite Oregon is witnessing a surge in eviction filings, with January 2026 marking the highest number recorded in five years, according to analysis by the Oregon Law Center.

Our Mission is to empower tenants with information, resources, and the ability to advocate for themselves. The first step to doing this is knowing what your rights are!

A huge thank you to our Staff and Board of Directors for stepping in to make this project possible.
