We are a research, education and preservation facility that is guided by a Governing Board of Traditional Tribal Elders and Scholars in Canada and the United States. In addition to this, our horses and their history with the Native Peoples have been the subject of a PhD in Indigenous Studies from the Univ

Wicozani and the herd meet us at dawn… ready to greet the sun and each other. It’s a blessed day to see our relatives gather near the pond - buffalo, geese, blue heron, and human. Moments like these remind us that peace is not just a feeling - but a way of life. Our sheep are finally feeling light, breezy, and fabulous! 🐏✂️☀️
Twice a year, we shear our traditional Diné “Churro”sheep to keep them healthy and comfortable as the temperatures rise. We keep as much of their wool as we can to make traditional and cultural items — a beautiful way to honor our sacred companions and their gifts. 💛

Stallion, Aweaqua, waits his turn while Choctaw Flower enjoys the first bites — as usual. Our Choctaw “Paints” are thriving this season — strong, grounded, and deeply connected to everything around them. Every sunrise they greet reminds us of the sacredness of routine, rest, and nourishment. 💛
