Next stage in this painting. I’ve realized what this painting is about...True love. It’s something that overcomes you. You can’t imagine your life without that person. You want to share your life and everything else comes later.
Latest process on my newest piece that is an exploration of a figure that emerged from lines I just started forming with charcoal. I imagine that the piece will become more and more abstract as it progresses although it’s an interesting exploration of how the forms come into fruition. I am constantly adding and subtracting to the work to evolve the piece into what feels right.

Latest development, this painting took several new turns in the last couple sessions. Determined where the boldest lines of color needed to exist. Brought in a wave element to the piece and defined the background in more concrete ways. Quite an interesting painting.
